If you recall, George last attended prep school at Coastal Christian and was slated to attend a few Division I schools before opting to play JC ball.
"I was supposed to go to Cincinnati and then Georgia State," George said. "When I didn't want to go there and word then got out, I decided to go to junior college."
Apparently, George had a terrific freshman season at Georgia Perimeter. "My coach challenged me to average a double-double." George said that he averaged 21 points and 10.5 assists last season.
Alabama had been chasing George for a long time and he felt an allegiance to them and what they do on the court. "It came down to who I wanted to play for and what style of play they had."
When we saw George in high school, he was more scorer than anything else. Now, he says, his game has evolved. "My coach finally started to let me run the point. I like the ball in my hands."
George made an unofficial visit to Alabama on Monday.
