Point Guard Draws Attention

Andrew Brown, a quick point guard from Littleton (Col.), has a variety of schools inquiring about him...

We saw Andrew Brown, 5-10 SR PG Littleton (Col.) Heritage, for the first time in Las Vegas and we were impressed with his game.

Although he's not real big, Brown has some toughness and he didn't back down in a physical game with the Salt Lake Metro team. Brown has a quick release on his shot and he's deadly from beyond the stripe. His decision-making still needs to improve, but he's an interesting prospect.

We spoke with Brown and asked him about the schools that have been in contact with him.

"Gonzaga, Minnesota, Utah, BYU, Loyola Marymount, Illinois State, Sacramento State, Colorado State and Denver," said Brown.

Asked which schools have called him lately, Brown said, "Sacramento State, BYU and Gonzaga."

Brown said style of play will be a big factor in his choice. "I want to play up-tempo," said Brown. "And the coaching staff will be an issue."

Brown said he hopes to sign prior to his senior year. He told us he has a 3.1 GPA and scored a 22 on the ACT.
