Whitney Leaves CFC

About 30 minutes a game of playing time just opened up at Christian Faith Center. Kelly Whitney, one of the key players at CFC, has left the program and returned home.

Whitney May Enroll At SHU This Spring

During the Thanksgiving Holiday, power forward Kelly Whitney was named the MVP of the Bull City Classic. He led his team to the title when they defeated host Mount Zion. However, he's no longer enrolled at the Creedmoor, N.C., school.

"It was a shock to me," assistant coach Otho Lyon said of Whitney's departure. "He did qualify. He told me to give him a week to see if he could work some things out at home. I gave him a week and hadn't even heard from him." Whitney is reportedly back home in Chicago.

Lyon thinks he might try to enroll at Seton Hall this spring. "I guess he's called some of the guys back here and that's what he's telling them."
