Casaan Breeden posted a big time performance early in the month of July and then kind of went undercover to some minor events. Regardless, he's heated up his recruitment and now has some top notch programs chasing him.
Bennettsville (S.C.) Marlboro County has produced some good ones in the past few years. Last year, Ra'Sean Dickey picked Georgia Tech
and this year's star is Casaan Breeden
. The 6-foot-8 small forward began the summer at No. 52 and likely will move up in our next set of rankings.
Breeden was big time with his effort at the Nike All-American Camp in early July. He then went to an event in Jacksonville, N.C. before shutting it down and heading to New York for a little R&R.
All the while, high-major coaches were scrambling to get into his good graces. At this point, he's got St. John's, North Carolina State, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Miami on his short list.
He's got three dates for official visits in place, though they are tentative. Miami is hoping to bring him on Labor Day weekend. Georgia Tech has a visit set for Oct. 1 and Georgia the weekend of Oct. 8th.
"I'll get a feel for the whole atmosphere when I take a visit," Breeden said. "I'll see all the players and rap with the coaches when I visit."
