Costner Sets Two Visits

Brandon Coster has already been to UCLA and may not even take an official visit to nearby Seton Hall, so it's likely that all his visit dates are set now that he's headed to Kansas and N.C. State.

Brandon Costner is down to four schools, but that hasn't made life all that much easier.

The Seton Hall Prep (N.J.) versatile 6-8 senior forward has narrowed his focus to N.C. State, Kansas, UCLA and Kansas.

Costner took an official visit to UCLA back in May and recently set up visit dates to N.C. State on Sept. 17 and Kansas the following weekend.

``I live 10 minutes away, so I don't really need to visit Seton Hall," Costner said. "I might – or I might not."

``Getting it down to four was good, but I'll be even happier when it's over with," he added. Costner said that he's had to turn away schools like Illinois, Maryland and Virginia – all of which have called recently with the hopes of earning a visit and a shot at landing him.

``I tell them that it's just too late," Costner said. "For me, it's about trust and loyalty."

Playing time and coaching staffs seem to be the two most important factors when Costner discusses his final four: On N.C. State: ``I'm similar to Marcus Melvin in the way that I play. He gets a lot of minutes and as long as I can get stronger, I can hopefully get his minutes when he leaves."

On Kansas: ``Bill Self and Mario Chalmers. I like Coach Self a lot. He's a good guy. I played with Mario Chalmers and we're decent friends." On Seton Hall: ``Coach (Louis) Orr and immediate playing time." On UCLA: ``It's on the west coast and playing time. The beach would be nice and they don't have a four-man in the program right now."
