JaQuan Hart Finds A New Home
It's been a long road for former Flint (MI) Northern star JaQuan Hart. The 6-5 Hart signed with Michigan and was not admitted into the school. Then, he left Ann Arbor and pitched his tent briefly with Ohio State. Now, Hart has a new home.
Jim Boone and Eastern Michigan will be his new home. Sources said that Hart has a girlfriend at the school and her presence played a large part in his decision. The Eagles sure could use him as they've gotten off to a slow start.
Hart is a fine wing athlete who should be an immediate impact scorer at that level. He can stroke it to deep range. He played AAU basketball with the Michigan Mustangs, now known as the Michigan Hurricanes, for head coach Chris Grier.
Normally, MAC schools are the beneficiaries of players of Hart's caliber via transfer and rarely do they get four-year players of this stature out of high school. This is a tremendous pickup for the Eagles and second-year coach Boone.
