That's when the Giles County (Tenn.) 6-7 senior forward will take his official trip to Knoxville – and, if everything goes according to plan, a verbal commitment could come by the time he leaves to return home.
``It doesn't bother me that much that other schools aren't really recruiting me anymore," Smith said. "They know I'm probably going to go to UT."
Smith said that Kansas and North Carolina – two schools he has previously mentioned – are both out of the picture. He said UCLA still sends mail and Florida State has been in contact, but that's about it.
``If everything goes how I feel and how I expect, I'll probably commit," Smith added. "If I like it. We've been up there a lot of times, so I already know a lot about the school, the staff and the players."
Smith said he considered leaving the state to attend Oak Hill Academy (Va.) this season, but opted against it and decided to remain close to home for one more year.
