Elite Schools In Pursuit
Small forward Brian Randle proved his worth last summer. The St. Louis Eagles standout played well at Nike Camp and continued to impress coaches throughout the summer. He got his junior season off to a great start and then was bitten by the injury bug.
"We are 5-2," Randle said. "I had a high ankle sprain and didn't come back until this past Saturday." In his return to the lineup, he had 11 points. In his first three games, he was averaging about 22 points.
Randle is keeping things in perspective. Schools are writing and stopping by to see him. He would like to decide early, but by no means is he in a hurry. "Everybody sends stuff consistently pretty much everyday. We are just going to wait until the end of the season and then start talking about it.
"My teammate Mitch committed to Lehigh right before the season started and I might want to do that."
Randle said he's interested in Duke, North Carolina, Iowa, Illinois, Notre Dame, Kentucky, Kansas and Iowa State. "I've got a list, but I don't have any favorites yet."
