From listening to Ruoff speak, West Virginia provided him with everything he was looking for in a college and then some.
"What I was looking for in a college, West Virginia had everything," Ruoff said. "Me and my high school coach were very close and I thought I could be that way with Coach Beilein. I liked the teammates, didn't have a problem with anybody. It's intriguing to play in the Big East, maybe the best conference next year. Morgantown was beautiful."
Now, Ruoff gets to make some difficult calls to Miami-OH (visited last weekend), UNC-Wilmington and DePaul.
Ruoff was really taken by the time and effort Beilein put in during his recruitment and during the official visit, the coach was even more impressive. "He broke down clips of me and showed me clips last year of West Virginia. He showed me that I can play at that level and play well."
The plan for Ruoff is to use his talents as a shooter at both the small forward and shooting guard slots.
