Jackson To Visit Final Three

Austin Jackson, a Top 100 point guard out of Texas, says he's down to three schools. He's neatly scheduled a trio of visits in accordance with his final list.

Austin Jackson has this recruiting thing down to a science. The 6-foot-1 ½ point guard out of Denton (Tex.) Ryan has sliced his list to three key players.

"I've already narrowed down my schools and now I'm just going to take my visits," Jackson said. Georgia Tech, Illinois and Oklahoma made the final cut.

"I focused in on the schools that were calling me and the most interested in me and I got those three.

"When I go visit I'm looking for the team chemistry. I want to see if the players respond to the coaches and see what the environment is like."

Jackson's visits begin his visitation process with Illinois the weekend of Sept. 11th. We were unable to confirm Oklahoma's visit date with Jackson but he will make a trip to Georgia Tech the first weekend in October.

"I like teams that run and pretty much all of those teams are capable of running. I like all three schools style of play. I know pretty much all three schools can score and have good defense. They move the ball well. Between those three schools, something else is going to have to pop out because I'm even with three all three."

Jackson is rated the No. 65 prospect in America. He's also a big time baseball player who could have major league options.
