"I would say Memphis has a little jump," Squire said. "Any kid is infatuated with coaches that have come in and coached in the NBA. He likes hearing from Leonard Hamilton, Coach Calipari and Wayne [Morgan]. St. John's is telling him that he's going to play and get a lot of time. But, I really think it comes down to his feel and what he thinks about the other guys on the team."
Taggart has set up official visits with Iowa State (9/18), Virginia Tech (9/24), Florida State (10/2), St. John's (10/9) and begins his visitation process with a trip to Memphis this weekend.
"It's exciting for him and the kid has worked really hard," Squire said. "The sky is the limit and he can only get better. He's working on consistency and going on every possession. Those are the things I talk to him about a lot. Hopefully, this year he'll get a lot of time at Mount Zion and they'll get into the weight room."
