Big East School Leads For Biggs

Tyrell Biggs says one school has been especially loyal to him and that's made an impression on the No. 81 prospect. The 6-foot-7 Biggs visits Pittsburgh this week.

The summer of 2004 probably didn't go exactly as planned for Don Bosco Prep power forward Tyrell Biggs. It wasn't a bad summer for him, it just wasn't quite as productive as he would have liked. However, through the adversity, Biggs found one school that never wavered in their support of his.

Pittsburgh and Jamie Dixon have been with him every step of the way. "I just really respect how they stuck with me even though I didn't have a real, real strong summer," Biggs said. "They still stuck by me through the thick and thin and I really respect that about them."

Biggs is on his official visit to Pittsburgh this weekend. He says that he likes Syracuse and Villanova as well, but does not have any other visits scheduled to date but said he will set up other visits upon his return. Does that mean the Panthers could snag a commitment from him while he's on campus?

"I don't think I'm going to commit this weekend, I've got to weigh my other options."

Still, Pitt is the team to beat in this one. "They're really successful and I think they are the team to beat. They've been real successful for a while and I think they are still on the uprise. I think they're the team to beat."
