Jimmie Sutton Makes Decision

There aren't many 6-10 big men in the Class of 2005 and now you can cross one more off the list after Jimmie Sutton made his decision.

The Florida Gators have already received commitments from a pair of in-state players – and Jimmie Sutton gives them another one from the Sunshine State.

Sutton, a 6-10, 265-pound senior power forward who will play this season at North Broward Prep (Fla.) after spending last season at American Heritage, made his decision during an unofficial visit this weekend.

``It was a real good visit and I chose Florida because I liked it a lot," Sutton said. "I've been there about five times already and its definitely the place I want to be."

Sutton, who averaged 10 points and 15 boards per game last season at American Heritage, will give the Gators some bulk and toughness inside.

Sutton said that he also considered Florida State and Kentucky.

``It was just the right time for me to get it over with," he added. "That way I can focus on my senior year."

Billy Donovan & Co. already had commitments from 6-4 wing David Huertas of Arlington Country Day and Jacksonville Raines guard Derwin Kitchen.
