Trojans Score Dual Commitments

The Southern Cal Trojans netted themselves a pair of high school players this weekend. Mike Freeman was one of two players who said "yes" to Henry Bibby during their official visits.

The Southern Cal Trojans landed a prospect from the East Coast and one from the Midwest during official visits this weekend.

Mike Freeman, a 6-foot-8 combo forward out of Hayfield (Va.) High and Sead Odzic, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard from Skokie (Ill.) Niles West, both committed during their official visits to Southern Cal.

"Actually, I guess [Odzic] talked with coach earlier in the morning before I did. I was kind of surprised that he committed but I had talked with coach and told him how much I liked what I had seen and I took advantage of the opportunity," Freeman said.

For Freeman, Southern Cal afforded the opportunity to come in, make a difference and expand his game. "I see myself coming in and playing wherever. Coach really offered me to be playing the forward. I just want to contribute as much as possible."

Last season, Freeman averaged 18 points a game. He had been hearing from schools like Ohio State, Georgia State, Georgia, Charlotte and Virginia Tech.

Odzic, meanwhile, has one of the premier strokes in the country. A specialist from 3-point range, he was a key player on the Illinois Wolves team that rattled the cages of numerous traveling teams the last two summers. Get Odzic a good look at the basket and count it.
