Wallace Putting Up Great Numbers
So far, so good for Silver Bluff small forward Brandon Wallace.
"I started off pretty good," Wallace said. "I've been averaging about 23, 9 boards and 5 blocks a game."
Schools began hearing about Wallace following a terrific showing at the July Peach Jam in Augusta, Ga. He proved his worth as a shooter and scorer and built on his summer momentum with a fine outing at the fall Charlie Weber event.
So far during the year, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Georgia and Clemson have been out to see him. Wallace says that he has a school that he really likes but the interest hasn't been reciprocated yet. "I like North Carolina but they haven't been out."
Wallace says he recently popped a 950 on the SAT. He attended the Georgia Tech-Georgia game in Athens. He'll visit South Carolina on Dec. 18.
He's working on all kinds of facets of his game but one area has pleased him. "I'm going to the basket more and shooting the 15-foot jumper in the lane and nobody can contest it."
