"Right when I get back from my visit the next day I'll talk to my coach and my parents and the next day after that I'll make my decision," Reid said. He's already been to Miami and both schools are relatively close to his home. Miami is 50 minutes from his doorstep and Florida State is 4 hours.
Reid has made it clear that staying close to home is a priority and that's why he's cut his list to just these two in-state schools.
"I'm trying to stay as close to home as possible," Reid said. "I'm not going to lie, it'll be where I can play more, how the coaches treat their players and the academics. Do they have tutors on road trips? Things like that."
Heading into the FSU visit, Miami has a slight edge but for obvious reasons. That's the only spot he's been to officially. "Right now Miami [leads] because I have been to Miami and I haven't been to Florida State. I like what I see out of Miami but I haven't seen Florida State."
