The three programs are still making trips to Dallas to watch Miles workout. "All the coaches are staying very close," Calvin Miles, Sr., said. "Kansas was in town yesterday and Georgia Tech and Texas are in town today."
The buzz word with Miles these days seems to be "compare." Right now, the family doesn't have anything to compare and contrast the Kansas visit with.
"Before this time next month it'll be a done deal. With C.J. we want him to have something to compare it with. Texas is just not that far behind Kansas and I told Tech that they are not that far behind Texas.
"As of right now [the Jayhawks] still have the edge. Their margin isn't as big as it was when we first went, but that's where we are."
The Jayhawks have just one scholarship remaining. New Jersey forward Brandon Costner is scheduled to visit this weekend. If KU were to score a commitment from him (which is no sure thing given N.C. State's strong position with him) it would knock the Jayhawks out of the race and Miles is well aware of that.
"I told C.J. that if Brandon commits, it would put you out the loop," the elder Miles said. "But that'll be based on what Kansas wants and how bad they want you."
To recap for now it looks like KU has a slim lead with Texas in second and Georgia Tech charging.
