Bell's Recruitment Picks Up

Brayden Bell, arguably the most skilled post prospect in the west, has schools from the Big Ten, Pac-10, Mountain West and WCC recruiting him...

Brayden Bell, 6-9 SR C Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton, is a very skilled big man who can shoot the three, yet also has an inside weapon with a developing jump hook. With improved focus/intensity, he has a chance to be among the top post players from the West Coast 2005 class.

We spoke with Dave Hammer, Bell's coach with Salt Lake Metro, last night and got an update on Bell's recruitment.

"I'll give you the highlights of his recruitment in chronological order," said Hammer. "First he had Utah in his home. Then he went to Ohio State for an official visit. Thad Matta came to his house on Monday. Ben Howland and Donny Daniels came in Tuesday. Matta came in again today (Thursday). An assistant from Indiana is scheduled to come in tomorrow (Friday). Paul Westphal will be in the home next Tuesday. Brayden will go to Indiana for an official visit October 1st. Mike Davis is scheduled for an in-home sometime after the official visit. Brayden will go to UCLA for an official visit on October 8th and he may go to Pepperdine for an official visit the week after UCLA."

Hammer said Bell will make a fall decision.
