The Price is Right

Kendric Price is glad he listened to those close to him who told him to take a second visit because the BB&N (Mass.) senior forward fell in love with his most recent trip and didn't need to drag the process out any longer.

When Kendric Price left for his official visit to Ann Arbor, Mich, this past weekend, he'd basically made up his mind.

By the time he returned, it had changed.

The 6-8 Buckingham, Browne & Nichols (Mass.) senior forward committed to Michigan on Monday afternoon, a little more than one week after nearly choosing Vanderbilt.

``It was a great visit," Price said of his trip to Michigan. "Way better than I thought it'd be. I'm just glad that everybody told me to keep an open mind."

Price was set to call it a day after his first trip to Vanderbilt last weekend and commit to the Commodores.

``I just felt like Michigan was home," Price said. "I can't really explain it, but I felt really comfortable."

Part of the reason may have been sophomore big man Courtney Sims, another Boston native who played in the same league as Price.

``That definitely helped, but I didn't make my decision based on him," Price said. "I just really felt comfortable with the staff and the players. I go to a small school now and it felt good to be at such a big school."
