According to his high school coach, on Sunday night 6-foot-9 power forward Brayden Bell committed to the Buckeyes.
"I think Brayden had a tremendous visit when he came out there," Johnson said. "He was really impressed with the fans and he mentioned how everywhere he went he saw people in Ohio State gear. He gained an understanding of how important athletics are there."
Bell is going to be very important to Ohio State. At 240 pounds, he's got the kind of body Big Ten coaches get excited about. He'll be ready to bang a little once he gets there but that's not to say he isn't a skilled player.
"I'd play him at the four," Johnson said. "He plays a lot of four for us and plays a lot on the perimeter. But at the same time he's a good enough athlete to do what he needs to do. He shoots the ‘3' with range and faces the basket exceptionally well."
