Ryan Reid To Play In ACC

Ryan Reid, the No. 84 prospect in America is off the board. We knew he was going to play ball in the state of Florida, now we know where.

The Florida State Seminoles have added another Top 100 prospect to their growing collection of talent. Ryan Reid, a 6-foot-7 power forward out of Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson, committed to the Seminoles Monday night.

""He makes you feel important and he has the ability to make me a better player and prepare you for the next level after college," Reid told TheTerritory.org, an Insiders site. "He also stresses the importance an education is and that's what also made me choose FSU."

Reid had narrowed his choices to Florida State and the Miami Hurricanes with Pittsburgh trying to stay involved with him. However, in the end, the No. 84 prospect had made it clear that staying close to home was a big priority to him.

Reid made national headlines last spring and summer when he demonstrated face up ability in a power forward's body. He helped the Tallahassee Wildcats capture the championship at the Showtime National Championship in Suwannee, Ga.
