The 6-foot-6 senior out of Detroit Northwestern (Mich.) committed to Memphis on Tuesday night before his scheduled visit to the school this weekend.
``Truthfully, I fell in love with Coach (John) Calipari," Douglas-Roberts said. "In ths summer, he came to one of my games watching one of my teammates and he fell in love with my game."
``I know I'm not supposed to say this, but then I fell in love with him," he added. "Now I'm going to go to Memphis this weekend and fall in love with the school and the city."
``I was planning on taking all five of my visits, but I'm going to wind up just taking one," he said. "I'm just trying to get this over with."
Douglas-Roberts said he'll likely see most of his action on the wing.
``I'll have the ball in my hands some of the time, but the biggest thing is that I feel we can compete and win the national championship."
