Reggie Butler, 6-5 SR SF, Long Beach (Calif.) Poly, is still hearing from the likes of Arizona and USC.
"Arizona and USC call me all the time," Butler said. "A couple of weeks ago, I heard from Arizona three times in a week. USC almost as much."
Butler said that both schools are showing him a great deal of interest in hopes that he'll qualify academically and then commit in spring. Butler said he has a 3.0 GPA but hasn't yet passed the SAT. He'll take it again in February. He said he's studying hard for it this time, using an SAT study course.
In the meantime, Butler is still looking very good on the basketball court, wowing the crowd at the Mission Prep Christmas Classic last week with some eye-opening alley-oops and his overall athleticism.
Butler said he's also hearing from Miami and Indiana. The coaches from the schools recruiting him have discussed Butler taking an official visit to their school but the specifics of the trips haven't been finalized. He's been to a couple of USC home games unofficially so far this season.
If he doesn't qualify, Butler is considering going the prep school route.
