Missouri, Penn St., Battle For Grant

Kissimmee (Fla.) Gateway senior wing Keaton Grant has been busy taking some visits. Now, it appears he's down to a pair.

Keaton Grant, a 6-foot-3 wing player out of the state of Florida, appears to be finishing up his visits. So far, he's been to Missouri and Penn State on officials.

"I liked both of them," Grant said. "Right now I have to wait for Missouri to get the word back from the NCAA to see if they are taking one or two scholarships. Between those two schools I can decide."

Last weekend, Grant took a trip to Penn State where he came away impressed with the basketball side of the program in State College.

"[I was impressed with] how hungry the guys are to win. The way they were taking you could tell that they were anxious to work hard and are ready for the season."

Still, Missouri holds a slight lead over the Nittany Lions. "It's just like one coach told me, either you go here or not, but this is a school that hits your heart. They just stood out more than the others."

Grant said that the gap could be narrowed and that PSU could catch Missouri. "I just have a lot of thinking to do and get with my parents and my coach."

Grant says he should have a decision by the end of the month.
