Criswell Set to Take Two Trips

Leo Criswell is finally set to take a couple visits and it might surprise you which two schools will get to see the Kansas native, who is playing at Coastal Christian (Va.) Academy, on campus in the next month.

Leo Criswell's recruitment has been all over the map.

The 6-8 ½, 220-pound former Piper High (Kan.) standout, who is spending this season at Coastal Christian (Va.), is planning to take a pair of visits in the next month.

Criswell (No. 52,, who said that both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have dropped off in their pursuit of late, told that he plans on taking trips to UNLV and St. John's.

``Coach (Norm) Roberts was interested in me when he was at Kansas," Criswell said. "I am planning on visiting them in mid-November and am going to UNLV on Halloween weekend."

Criswell, who enjoyed an up-and-down summer in which the highpoint was a stellar performance at the ABCD Camp in July, said he is still somewhat baffled by the fact that his recruitment didn't pick up much following ABCD.

``It's surprising and it hurts my feelings," Criswell said. "I took it that I have to work harder so I can show people I'm one of the top players in the country."

``I'm just looking to play ball," Criswell added. "I want to play up and down and show people I'm more of a three. I'm not trying to be a four-man. Right now people think I'm going to be a tweener, but I'm not trying to be a tweener."
