"When I first went to Marshall it just felt like I belonged there," Humphrey said. "I went by my instincts."
Marshall rolled the dice and brought him in early and wound up being his first official visit. He then tripped to Arkansas State, Tulsa and Georgia State. However, in the end it was Marshall that he liked best and the Thundering Herd withstood three other official visits to land him.
Last season, Humphrey averaged 18 points a game. "They see me as a shooting guard and a wing player. I haven't been told I was going to start but they said if I worked hard I'd get the opportunity to play."
