FSU Has Slight Edge With Breeden

He's coming down the homestretch. Bennettsville (S.C.) Marlboro County forward Casaan Breeden completed his last official visit over the weekend and is nearing a decision.

The visitation process for 6-foot-8 combo forward Casaan Breeden is over. Last weekend he took an official trip to St. John's and before that had spent a weekend at Florida State. The two schools represent his finalists.

"Everything was good," Breeden said. "I liked how they interacted with others around the university. They were in the dorms with regular people and that was cool."

Breeden said that he will make his official announcement on October 28th. However, right now Florida State has the advantage. "Right now I'd say it's like 55-45 Florida State."

The Atlantic Coast Conference affiliation that FSU enjoys could wind up being a very big factor in this one. "I've always wanted to play in the ACC. My family won't have to travel far and see all the games on the TV. Florida State being in the ACC will have a little impact."

Regardless, Breeden says he has all the information he needs to reach his decision. "I've seen both schools. I've seen how the players interact with each other from a basketball standpoint and a personal standpoint. I'll just have to sit down and talk to my family and coach and figure everything out."
