Jones Could Be Hot in Spring

With very few available post players left, skilled Terrance Jones from Crenshaw could get more recruiting attention than what he's getting now...

Terrance Jones, 6-5 SR PF, Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw, is undersized and perhaps not in great shape, and that more than likely got him passed over by many college programs last summer and fall.

But with so few good post players left, many D-1 schools are looking for some guys who can play, regardless of certain criteria. Jones has very nice skills around the basket, can shoot out to about 12 feet, and has good hops. He looked particularly impressive in San Luis Obispo when Crenshaw played in the Mission Prep Christmas Classic two weeks ago.

At the time, Jones said that he was only hearing from San Jose State, and hadn't even heard from them in a few weeks. He said he had a 3.0 GPA and hadn't received the results of the SAT he took in December.

Jones also said that he believed many college programs lost track of him when he moved and changed his phone number. "Yeah, they stopped calling after the number change," he said. "Hopefully now they'll remember that I'm still out here."
