We asked Jones about the issues he considers important when making his choice and he said, "Academics is really important -- that's why I like Stanford so much. You get the best of both, in academics and basketball."
Jones went on to say that location isn't important to him. "That's not really a big issue -- it's more about the academics and level of basketbal. I want to play at the highest level."
Jones told us that Utah State, Gonzaga and Washington have all been out to his school in the fall. "Stanford was supposed to come, but they weren't able to make it," said Jones.
We asked Jones if he had a dream school growing up and he replied, "Stanford. Ever since I realized that one of the top academic schools in the country was also one of the best basketball programs, it was them. I would have a hard time turning them down if I had a chance to go there."
Jones told us that he currently has a 3.8 GPA and he's waiting on results from a PSAT test.
