High-Scoring Walker Picks Nebraska

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have themselves a scoring machine. Marcus Walker, a Kansas City product, picked the Huskers at a news conference Tuesday evening.

After leading the city of Kansas City last year in scoring, it's time for Marcus Walker to take his high-scoring act on the road. During a press conference Tuesday evening, Walker committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

""I have decided to be a Nebraska Cornhusker in college," a proud Walker announced to a contingent of approximately 50 people. He picked the Huskers over Kansas State which was his other finalist.

Nebraska has itself a bonafide scoring point guard. Last year, Walker went for a season-high 54 points in one game and is getting closer to the city scoring record held former Missouri standout Anthony Peeler.

The Bishop O'Hara product had a unique connection with Nebraska as his father ran track for the Huskers.
