Missouri Lands 2006 In-State Forward

The Missouri Tigers picked up their second commitment of the week. This time Quin Snyder's squad dipped into the 2006 pool for its most recent commitment.

Earlier in the week, the Missouri Tigers scored a commitment from the No. 52 player in the senior class in forward Leo Criswell. Three days later, the Tigers went into the 2006 ranks and grabbed themselves another big man.

Adam Knollmeyer, a 6-foot-8, 230 pounder committed to Missouri on Thursday. Knollmeyer is a junior at Jefferson City (Mo.) Helias High. Last season he averaged 14 points and was an all-district pick as a sophomore.

"I want to represent my state school and I really liked their player development," Knollmeyer said. "I know where I wanted to go so why wait?"

Good point.

Last summer, the big man ran with the St. Louis Eagles 16 and under squad. He's an outstanding student-athlete and had been contacted by Purdue and Southwest Missouri State.

Knollmeyer isn't the only in-state prospect the Tigers are aggressively recruiting. Jarod Leonard, a small forward who participated in the Nike All-American Camp is high up on the Tigers wish list.
