Rankings: Senior Point Guards

Again, we haven't done anything to really get our readers in an uproar lately, so we thought it was time to re-rank the prospects. We start with the senior point guards...

Chris Rodgers retains his position as the #1 point guard among the west coast senior class, without anyone really coming close to competing with him for the title. Rodgers is still gifted enough to play either guard position in college, but we think his mentality and skills make him a potentially dominating point guard. He'll be a big-time player at Arizona. C.J. Watson had a terrific summer last year, which catapulted him on to the scene. He's looked excellent so far during his senior season, and Tennessee is very thankful they stole him from the west. Ashanti Cook takes a sizeable jump to #3 on the list. While he's still just getting the sense of how good he is, he has so much potential he deserves the accolades, and New Mexico will benefit from it all. Cal commit, Richard Midgley, hasn't played a high school basketball game this year due to his ineligibility, but going on how good he was last summer still gets him the #4 ranking. Armando Surratt, a past #1 point guard in this class, is still vastly talented, but hasn't refined his game as much as you'd like to see since last summer. Two uncommitted prospects, Keion Kindred and Jovance Coleman, come in at #6 and #7 – making Kindred one of the highest ranked players on the west coast that looks to qualify academically still left uncommitted.
