The 6-8, 215-pound South Kent (Conn.) post-grad, who played at E.O. Smith High in Conn., last season, committed to the Cyclones on Saturday night shortly after the team's win against the Sooners.
``Obviously, it's a Big 12 program – one of the best conferences," South Kent coach Raphael Chillious said. "It's somewhere that he can fit in and provide something they don't really have right now, a consistent shooter."
Evanovich, who has a 3.8 GPA and scored a 1200 on the SAT, was receiving a wide range of interest from the likes of Indiana, Wagner, New Hampshire, Vermont and American.
``He's done well for himself this year and has completely changed his body," Chillious added. "That's enabled him to get out and compete with the athletic guys. He can really stretch a defense and has added a lot to his offensive skill-set."
