Bender Has New List Of Schools

Brandon Bender is done playing basketball at Louisville. The power forward will take his time in picking a new school but has a list of prospective programs in mind.

Bender Will Weigh Options Carefully

"We had some experiences that didn't work out for him," Brandon Bender's father Victor said. "It didn't work out for him there."

There being hometown Louisville. Now, Bender has his release and is looking for another school to spend the next four years of his life. He'll have to sitout one season but will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Among the suitors are San Diego State, Charlotte, Alabama, Fresno State and West Virginia. Bender says his release would allow him to transfer "in-conference" to Charlotte if he chooses.

Bender said he definitely would like to visit San Diego State. "They were recruiting me (in high school) but I never looked at them because it was too far."

"I'm excited about trying to get a new start somewhere. I'm just going to finish up the semester and then decide. I've got to make the right decision this time."
