Update on Washington Prospects

Here are updates on the seasons that many of the best prospects in Washington are having so far, including junior centers Hans Gasser and Jason Mgebroff, junior swingman Lance Den Boer, and probably the best sophomore in the state, Lyndale Burleson...

Hans Gasser, 6-9 JR C, Issaquah (Wash.) High, is averaging 22.3 ppg through 15 games with a season-high 32 point outing against Skyline. Gasser had a 31-point effort against Lindbergh during the Holidays.

Jason Mgebroff, 6-10 JR C, Kent (Wash.) Kentwood, is averaging 14 ppg but has stepped it up since New Years, posting a 27-point effort in a 70-38 win over cross-town rival Kentlake and scoring 24 against Kent-Meridian. He's averaging 17.4 in 2002.

Lyndale Burleson, 6-2 SO SG, Seattle O'Dea, is averaging 19.7 with a season-high 32 against South Kitsap. He's had 25 or better five times. He had 22 against top-ranked Rainier Beach.

Lance Den Boer, 6-5 JR SF, Sunnyside Sunnyside Christian, has been on fire since returning from two weeks off with an injury. Den Boer, who averaged 30 ppg as a sophomore, has scored 30, 34, 27, 28 and 46 in his five games since returning to the lineup. In his 46-point game against Bickleton, Den Boer nailed 10 treys in the 88-34 rout. Though playing for a small Class B school, Den Boer put up big numbers during the summer with the Eastern Washington Elite AAU team.

Also on that EWE team was was Adam Morrison, 6-6 JR SF, Spokane Mead. Like Den Boer, he too has been posting huge numbers, scoring at a 26ppg clip for an 11-1 team.
