Hargrave Is A Hot Spot For Unsigned Players

One of the best places to look for unsigned seniors is in Chatham, Va. Kevin Keatts' Hargrave program has two of the better unsigned players in Jerome Johnson and Bilal Benn.

Kevin Keatts' phone rings everyday. Whether it's a new suitor or an old standby, Jerome Johnson and Bilal Benn remain two of the best players still left on the board. Johnson, in particular, is a guy folks forget isn't in college this year.

"I probably get at least 5-10 calls each because people might pick up reports on available guys," Keatts said. "Some people didn't realize that [Johnson] didn't go to Clemson but he's here at Hargrave. They'll see that and they'll call."

Penn State, Tennessee, UNLV, Georgetown and Miami have some of the more aggressive suitors. "I couldn't tell you who is going to get the next visit with him," Keatts said. "He took a visit early to Penn State."

Benn, a 6-foot-5 guard, also visited Penn State early along with Villanova. Now, Wake Forest, Florida and Xavier joins the Nittany Lions and Wildcats on his list.

"It looks like both of them are going to wait and take visits until after the season is over," Keatts said. "This is the first time I've had two high-major guys available this late."
