Humphrey did not know where the scholarship that was offered to him came from, but the common school of thought is that the Dawgs will likely lose Louis Williams (Scout.com's No. 1 prospect) to the NBA draft.
"The main thing was, well, some others offered but I was done waiting. With Lou more than likely going to the league the only guard they recruited was Mike Mercer and I like playing with him. It'll be just like AAU again."
Humphrey, who averages better than 30 points a game, said staying home wasn't the biggest factor but it helps. "It's pretty important. My mother is more excited than me. Everyone can come watch me and I'm right up the street."
