St. John's and St. Bonaventure are the lone offers for the 24 point a game scorer and he recently took an official visit to Red Storm country. St. John's coach Norm Roberts began pursuing Wiggins after the guard made a name for himself at IS8 in New York before the season began.
There was some chatter that Wiggins could commit shortly after his official visit but that hasn't happened. "It was my first visit," Wiggins said. "I can't compare it to anything. They didn't pressure me and they just let me enjoy myself.
"I want to be able to compare [the visit] with another school, but nobody is as serious as St. John's."
DePaul, Connecticut, Boston College, Providence, West Virginia, George Washington, Vanderbilt and North Carolina State are interested. UConn, the in-state school, has been him a host of times and Jim Calhoun is likely to watch him this week. Boston College was at his game last Friday.
"All of the schools that came to see me said the same thing: I'm thin right now."
