We spoke with Michael Hubbard, 6-3 SG Bellflower (Calif.) High, last night and he told us he's considering three schools -- UC Riverside, Pacific and Portland.

Hubbard has tripped to Riverside and said he enjoyed it very much. "I really liked the coaches," Hubbard said. He told us he plans on tripping to Pacific and Portland at the conclusion of his season.

We asked about the issues that would be critical to his decision and Hubbard said, "education and how well I get along with the coaches and players."

When questioned about the importance of early playing time, Hubbard replied, "I don't mind redshirting. I think it might help me develop."

Hubbard said UC Riverside is his leader at this point. "They've been with me the longest and showed faith in me by offering early," Hubbard said.

Hubbard said he's averaging around 19 points and 5 rebounds a game this year. He told us he will have no problem qualifying.
