2006 Focus: Josh Chichester

Josh Chichester was also a football guy growing up, but that's changed and the 6-8 junior is looking to play two sports in college.

Josh Chichester has always been playing football and he feels that down the road, his best chance to reach the professional level is likely on the gridiron. However, college basketball coaches are telling him otherwise.

``He can be a Hakim Warrick type," said one high-major Division 1 assistant coach.

Chichester is a 6-foot-8, 210-pound junior at Lakota West High (Ohio) who averaged 14 points and 8 boards per game this season.

He's more well-known as a wide receiver, but started to play basketball in the eighth grade.

``It's pretty difficult to figure out what I'm going to do," Chichester said. "It's somewhat overwhelming. I've been hearing it's pretty hard to do both in college, but I want to try it."

Chichester will play with All-Ohio this spring and summer and then will try and figure out his recruitment.

At this point, Chichester said that Cincinnati, Ohio State, Illinois and Notre Dame are his top four.
