In-Staters Make Offers

North Muskegon's 6-10 junior Drew Naymick is experiencing a meteoric rise up the wish lists of various programs around the country and for good reason. He's averaging 23 points and 11 rebounds this season.

"I'm doing pretty well," Naymick said. "AAU kind of got all the scouts and coaches and everyone looking at me so it's been a breakout year. I'm a lot more aggressive than I was in the past two years. I spent a lot of time in the weight room this summer and fall."

Guys like Tommy Amaker and Tom Izzo have already been in to see him. Numerous other programs have sent assistants his way. Right now, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Notre Dame have made big strides in his recruitment. Wake Forest and Ohio State have been to see him, along with the Irish. The Spartans, Wolverines and Ohio State have offered. Central Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Purdue and Western Michigan are on the list as well.

"I don't know if it's safe to say I'm going to play in the Big Ten but a lot of my top schools are in the Big Ten," Naymick said. He's already been to a number of the Big Ten campuses and plans on checking out Ohio State in a few weeks.

Naymick isn't about to commit anytime soon. "Right now, I'm not really close to a decision yet."
