James Says Yes To Sooners

Damion James, a talented junior from Texas, is staying put in Big 12 land. Late Wednesday night James made a decision to play in Norman.

The Oklahoma Sooners reeled in a big timer this week. Nacogdoches High coach Mark Richardson confirmed this morning that Top 25 junior Damion James is headed to Norman.

"Yes, sir he did [commit]," Richardson told Scout.com Thursday morning.

James, a 6-foot-8 and talented small forward, had been rumored to be inching closer to a decision in the last few weeks. His selection of the Sooners gives coach Sampson his first commitment from the Class of 2006.
