"I've been hearing from Gonzaga, Pacific, Portland, San Diego, Loyola Marymount and Colgate," said DeCasas.
DeCasas said one WCC school stands out for him at this time.
"Gonzaga is my favorite," DeCasas said. "I like their style of play and the coaches. I watched them when they played at LMU this year. They came out to one of our practices early in the year. Pacific is another school that has been calling and I like them. Also San Diego -- they want me to come down for an unofficial visit."
DeCasas listed some of the factors he'll consider when making his choice.
"The coaching staff, the environment -- the atmosphere of the school," said DeCasas. "I want someplace with a good teachher to student ratio, with smaller class sizes. And I'd prefer to stay in the west."
We asked DeCasas about the issue of playing time.
"I want someplace that I can play relatively early," replied Decasas. "Someplace that I can get some time the first couple years. I'd prefer somewhere that I can play -- not necessarily going to the highest level."
DeCasas told us his favorite program when he was growing up was Oregon. "I'm still interested in them -- I have some family up there."
When questioned about the timing of his decision, DeCasas replied, "I definitely want to do it before my senior year -- I don't want to have to worry about it. Probably sometime at the end of summer."
DeCasas told us he has a 3.0 GPA and has yet to take the SAT.
