Padgett Sets Four Visits

David Padgett, the #1 junior center in the west, has decided on four schools that he will visit prior to next year. Padgett's list includes schools from the Pac-10, Big 12 and ACC...

David Padgett, 6-10 JR C Reno (Nev.) High, is one of the elite post prospects in the country. Virtually every top program in the country has expressed an interest in Padgett

We spoke with Padgett last night and he told us that he's decided on four schools that he will definitely visit. The four schools are Stanford, Arizona, Kansas and North Carolina. We asked who the contenders are for his fifth visit and Padgett said that he hasn't yet put together a list of other possible schools.

"Those four schools worked the hardest," Padgett said. "So I'm going to take trips to those schools." Padgett also told us that he's already taken unofficial visits to Arizona, Stanford and Cal.

Padgett dislocated his kneecap recently, which cut short his junior year. He said he'll be back playing in a couple weeks and he will be ready for the spring events. Prior to the injury, Padgett was averaging 23 points, 14 rebounds and 8 blocks a game. He said that he's spent much of this past season working on his ball handling and perimeter play.

Padgett's current plan is to take a couple of his trips in the spring and then a couple in the fall. "I think I will have a decision by September," Padgett said.
