Bohannan Makes Decision

Jason Bohannon announced where he's headed for college - and one tip is that he won't be attending the same place his father did.

There is always pressure for kids from Iowa to remain in the state, especially with Jason Bohannon. However, the Linn-Mar (Iowa) rising senior combo guard announced his decision to play at Wisconsin this afternoon at a news conference.

``He felt comfortable with Wisconsin," Martin Brothers coach Hank Huddleson said. "That's what he was looking for - comfort. He liked the coaches and the kids, so he decided he was ready to make a decision."

Bohannon's father, Gordy, played for the Hawkeyes Rose Bowl team back in 1980. Iowa was involved, but at the end of the day, Bohannon opted to commit to the Badgers.

Bohannon, who can play either backcourt spot, averaged 22.6 points as a junior. He's got a good basketball IQ, can handle it well enough to run the point and also shoots it well enough to play shooting guard.

Bohannon, who plays for the Martin Brothers program, also excels in the classroom with a 3.9 GPA and a 28 on the ACT.
