Harangody Down To Five

When you're hot you're hot and Luke Harangody is all that and more. The Merrillville (Ind.) Andrean big man took an unofficial visit last week and he's eyeing five schools.

When the SYF Players failed to advance out of pool play at the Boo Williams, schools recruiting Luke Harangody liked him. When that same Players team advanced to the championship of the Kingwood Classic, those same schools began loving Luke Harangody.

"They were going hard [before AAU season] but now they're coming a lot harder," Harangody said. Notre Dame, Ohio State and Purdue are coming strong. "I'd like to stay in the Midwest," Harangody said. Indiana and Northwestern are also in the mix and comprise his final five.

Last Thursday, the 6-foot-8 big man out of Andrean High visited Notre Dame and Mike Brey unoffically, The Irish coach was on Harangody patrol at said Kingwood Classic.

"The campus is great and the academics are great," Harangody said. "Coach Brey is really easy to talk to. They said I could come in here and get some minutes as a freshman. I could in there and get a real good education."

Harangody said he's liked to officially visit all five schools, but he's been on everyone's campus already unofficially. As it stands, he has no other official visits set up.
