Offers For Lowenthal

Todd Lowenthal, a 6-1 junior point guard from San Diego, has offers from a couple local schools...

Todd Lowenthal, 6-1 JR PG Poway (Calif.) High, wasn't able to play much this spring due to an injured back, but he's still getting plenty of interest from schools.

We spoke with Lowenthal last night and asked about the schools recruiting him.

"San Diego and San Diego State have shown the most interest – they've both offered," said Lowenthal. "Princeton and Penn both came out to my school. William & Mary is another school that has just started to show a lot of interest."

Other schools showing interest include Cal, USC, Washington State, Utah, Colorado State and Boston College.

We asked Lowenthal about the possibility of going to school back east, versus the opportunity to stay close to home.

"I'm definitely considering both options," said Lowenthal. "They're both appealing."

Lowenthal doesn't sound like he's close to making a decision anytime soon. "I want to make my decision before the next school year starts."

When we asked him about the issues he'll consider when making his choice, Lowenthal said, "The most important one is playing time. I want to go somewhere that I can play and where the team can have success."

Lowenthal said he'll play at the adidas Superstar Camp, the Big Time and the Best of Summer in July.
