Will Walk-On First Year
Talk to Mount Zion point guard Roscoe Biggers and you'll see that he's extremely jacked up about his college choice. Biggers gushes when he speaks of playing for John Chaney at Temple.
"I'm in love with coach Chaney," Biggers said. "I'm going to walk on. I could have gone somewhere else on a scholarship but this is where I want to be. If I had to pay all four years, I'd pay all four years." Well, that's not going to be the case, but he'll have to foot the bill for the first season.
Biggers, a native of New York, played last season in Compton, Calif. He transferred to Mount Zion is an effort to steady his grades and his jumpshot. He remains a terrific assist guy with a little New York flair to his game.
"I talked to coach Chaney for like 45 minutes. He's already telling me what he expects from me next year. His main thing is that if I don't turn the ball over I'll play all night."
