"Everything is going good," Davis said. "I'm going on an official visit June 3rd to N.C. State. I'm going June 10th to Pittsburgh and June 17th to Villanova."
UConn is recruiting Davis as well as he's taken the liberty of seeing some campuses before school lets out. Thus far, three programs have made quite an impression.
"If more come in that I think I could fit in their spot, I don't know," Davis said. "So far so good with these three. Right now these are my top three but if more people come in I'll be sure to look at them."
Like most guys from the Big Apple, winning is a HUGE priority for him. "Everybody wants to win, that's important on the team that I go to. I want a place that I can excel to at the next level," Davis said.
The Wolfpack moved quickly on him after an April Charlie Weber event. "The coaching staff has been phenomenal. Talking to them … I think I can fit into their motion offense style of play."
Pitt's an attractive place as well. "Their style of play is kickout and penetrate or kick. I'm used to that with my AAU team so I can play that style."
Meanwhile, Villanova is selling offensive freedom and has a few New York guards from the mold he's looking for. "Their guards are free to do what they have to do to make them win games. They're free to do anything I can do stuff to make my teammates better just like Allen Ray and Randy Foye did."
Davis isn't content with just being a Top 100 guy. Scout.com lists him at No. 73. He's ready to put in the work to be a big time college player. "The most important thing I think I need to do is shoot the ball phenomenally and work on my handle and get stronger."
