Herzog Still Considering Four

Tom Herzog, Scout.com's No. 36 prospect in the Class of 2006, took one official visit this spring. Herzog talks about the trip and what his current school list looks like.

Tom Herzog, a 7-foot center out Flint (Mich.) Powers Catholic, recently took an official visit to Ann Arbor to spend some time with the Wolverines. Herzog, ranked No. 36 in the country, enjoyed the visit and it'll probably be his final one of the spring.

"It was a good visit," Herzog said. "I got to see a lot more of the campus and I got to know their guys and their coaches a little bit better. Coach Amaker thinks that he can make me a better player."

Herzog is considering the Wolverines, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Illinois. Though he's probably done on the official visit circuit for the spring, he's considering taking some unofficial trips this summer.

Michigan brought Herzog in with Deshawn Sims (Scout.com No. 30) and Tory Jackson (No. 61), a pair of key 2006 Wolverine targets.

"I think they were hoping that I would commit but I wasn't planning on committing [this early]," Herzog said. "I might decide later in the summer if I get to take a few good unofficial visits to the schools, but I think I want to [officially] visit the schools. I haven't been to Illinois and went to just one football at Notre Dame."
